New Leadership, Continued Support of FHIR, and Customer Success Remain Cornerstone
Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced its commitment to helping organizations achieve interoperability goals through significant investments made in the Infor Cloverleaf Suite. Infor Cloverleaf is a market leading, enterprise-caliber integration engine that facilitates the movement of highly secure data through disparate systems within and outside the healthcare enterprise, and will help transition the healthcare industry to adopt the new HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) Draft Interoperability Standard, and operate in a more modern, data-driven environment.
Infor continues to enhance the Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite to support the emerging HL7 standard FHIR, and a key pillar of this continued focus includes the appointment of Mark Weber to lead development for Infor Healthcare. “The healthcare industry’s continued transformation is driving an ever greater need to optimize performance and value, and as a market leader for healthcare business systems, Infor is in a unique position to provide breakthrough business solutions to the industry,” said Mike Poling, general manager, Infor Healthcare. “To accelerate the realization of this opportunity, the company is increasing its investment in healthcare and appointing Mark Weber to Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development to further unify healthcare-focused solutions while maintaining a strong alignment between Infor’s core technologies and industry requirements.”
In addition, Infor is dedicated to helping organizations streamline health information exchange. Over the past year, significant enhancements have been made to Infor Cloverleaf, focused on user experience, industry standards, and scalability. This includes the addition of an interactive translation debugger, which greatly increases development and testing speed, proven FHIR support, which allows users to implement DSTU-2 compliant FHIR interfaces through Cloverleaf and smart search capability, which allows users to easily search HL7 data for specific field contents. In addition, there is new DICOM support for integrating radiology systems and API enablement of the Infor Cloverleaf application, empowering users to access configuration data and functions through a web services API. As a result of these innovations, leading healthcare organizations including Hackensack University Medical Center, MedStar Mobile Healthcare, and Hospital for Special Surgery, have joined the Infor Cloverleaf family or seen success with Infor Cloverleaf this past year. With Infor, these organizations are creating a sustainable foundation to proactively manage, coordinate, and share data across the care continuum.
“Partnering with Infor, we’re able to serve our customers better especially our patients and physicians. Using Infor’s technology has allowed to change the way our data is structured and standardized, and pave the way for FHIR standards of exchanging healthcare information electronically at our organization,” said Shafiq Rab, M.D., MPH, vice president and chief information officer, Hackensack University Medical Center.
At MedStar Mobile Healthcare, Infor was able to help the organization aggregate disparate information systems and data, regardless of the source system, message format, or transmission protocol. “Working with Infor, we’re able to share information more efficiently and with fewer errors to help emergency clinicians quickly assess and treat patients, while maintaining HIPAA compliance, and ultimately improve patient care,” said Doug Hooten, executive director, MedStar Mobile Healthcare. “Infor is a partner that shares our vision for providing efficient, reliable, and cost-effective emergency medical services to the community.”
