SAN JOSE, CA – 04/08/10 – Callidus Software Inc. (NASDAQ:CALD – News), the leader in Sales Performance Management (SPM), today announced the launch of its new Sales Coaching solution. With the new SaaS product, powered by ForceLogix (TSX-V:FLT – News), Callidus now enables businesses to coach and optimize their sales force’s execution as part of a comprehensive sales performance management solution. Under the agreement, signed in the second quarter of 2010, Callidus has received exclusive rights to be the only SPM vendor to sell ForceLogix’ SalesForce Optimizer solution.

“The imperative to manage sales performance requires methods like sales coaching that can help drive optimal behavior and results,” said Mark Smith, CEO & EVP Research at Ventana Research. “With Callidus integrating sales coaching into their suite they are advancing sales performance management to its full potential.”

“With the new Sales Coaching solution, Callidus extends its footprint to provide the most comprehensive suite of sales talent lifecycle management solutions in the marketplace,” said Lorna Heynike, senior vice president of marketing at Callidus Software. “With today’s increased emphasis on driving sales effectiveness, our customers are looking for additional ways to achieve higher returns on their sales investment. By investing in new hire ramp-up and on-going sales coaching programs, sales leaders can drive significant gains in overall attainment and increase revenue by up to 20%(1). When these programs are based on data-driven, standardized sales performance indexes that tie back to incentives, the programs are highly effective.”

By integrating its Monaco SaaS suite with ForceLogix SalesForce Optimizer solution, Callidus enables businesses to rank individual sales reps by standard performance indexes, such as quota and earnings attainment, territory performance, and revenue growth. Root cause analysis of variations in these indexes then allows sales leaders to seamlessly correlate that performance with key behaviors, including deal profile, sales methodology, skills and competencies, and education and training. This highlights gaps that can be used to build targeted coaching programs to ensure the sales force consistently delivers on coming targets.

Key features of Callidus Sales Coaching include:

  • Best Practice Library enables easy setup of consistent, industry standard performance programs with hundreds of out-of-the-box leading and lagging Sales Performance Indicators (SPI), business and sales competencies, and skills assessments.
  • Coaching Suggestion Engine simplifies setup of coaching programs, providing suggestions, objectives, and other manager/sales person interactions, and lets sales leaders leverage industry best practices to make programs more effective.
  • Role-based dashboards provide real-time, visual feedback, allowing sales leaders and reps alike to see where they stand and take timely corrective action to address emerging issues.
  • Out-of-the-Box Integration with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics CRM allows for data mastered in other systems to be easily brought in for performance evaluation and coaching purposes.

Multiple language support, available in 12 languages including a language library for localization capabilities.
