Industry leading automotive company to improve real time tracking and increase compliance with IQMS’ manufacturing ERP software
IQMS, a leader in the design and development of the manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, EnterpriseIQ, today announced that automotive and vehicle assembly parts manufacturer, FIC America Corp. (a division of Futaba Industrial Co. Ltd. and the North American headquarters for Futaba), chose IQMS as its manufacturing ERP software partner for its facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Texas and Ontario, Canada. IQMS easily bested the nearest ERP competitors, including Consona, Epicor, Infor, Made2Manage, Plex, QAD, Sage, SAP and Syspro, for its out-of-the-box compatibility, industry-specific solutions and real time tracking system.
“We are a high volume automotive parts manufacturer. IQMS was the only company we spoke with that actually understood what we do and how we do it,” said David S. Turndick, manager of Futaba North America’s Information Services Department. “They understand our business processes, which in turn will translate into substantially reduced implementation time because we don’t have to first teach them what we do.”
FIC America Corp. desired to better control production and inventory tracking in real time. Its previous data entry systems only offered (at best) an inaccurate, unreliable and contradictory look into yesterday’s shop floor activity. With IQMS’ RealTime™ Machine Monitoring system, FIC can track all work center performance information immediately, in true real time. With no batch transfers or lag time, FIC can now be proactive rather than reactive and will experience improved efficiency, visibility and productivity.
“RealTime™ Machine Monitoring is an infallible way to track and analyze production performance,” said Glenn Nowak, vice president of IQMS. “Because of FIC’s high production rate and large number of work centers, they need to be able to view performance status immediately from a centralized location. We are excited to be able to help FIC in this area and develop a strong partnership for the future.”
FIC America Corp. was also experiencing frustration with its multiple systems’ inability to communicate, resulting in redundant data entry and extensive manpower to maintain. EnterpriseIQ’s comprehensive, single-database system will entirely eliminate FIC’s disparate systems problem because all the ERP applications (such as EDI, warehouse management, quality, etc.) are in the same system, saving significant time and labor. Additionally, FIC adheres to Japan’s strict J-Sox compliance requirements and is looking forward to EnterpriseIQ’s accountability and visibility to help streamline and automate the compliance process.
“The depth of IQMS’ understanding of our business model is only outshined by the company’s professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy prospective customers,” said Mr. Turndick. “Finally, a company that was more interested in building relationships around a superior product, rather than getting in, getting the sale and moving on to the next.”
