Independent Report Examines ERP Implementation Outcomes and the Decisions That Led to Them

DENVER, Colo., — The business transformation and ERP consulting firm, Panorama Consulting Group, today released an independent report relevant to organizations considering an ERP implementation or digital transformation.

One of the key findings of The 2024 ERP Report was that 88.5% of respondents said they deployed or plan to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) at their organization.

“Many ERP systems have natural language processing capabilities that enable the system to understand user queries and provide a conversational output,” said Chris Devault, Senior Manager of Client Services at Panorama. “Chatbots and other digital assistants improve the user experience by allowing non-technical users to query for specific information within the system or ask for a summary of data from multiple sources.”

In addition to showing an increase in AI adoption, the report showed an increase in cloud adoption.

“Cloud computing is no longer just an IT infrastructure choice but a strategic business decision,” said Devault. “It allows organizations to deploy sophisticated AI and BI solutions and harness the power of predictive and prescriptive analytics.”

According to the report, more than three-quarters of respondents selected cloud software. When narrowing this to just respondents with no intention of implementing AI, only 53% of respondents selected cloud software.

“With the increasing popularity of AI, organizations’ focus has turned to flexible and adaptable solutions that support rapid innovation,” said Devault. “The cloud provides this foundation.”
