Knife Manufacturer Realizes One Integrated View, Capability to Monitor Key Supply Chain Metrics in Tightly Integrated Closed-loop System

International Business Systems (IBS), a global leading integrated ERP and supply chain solution provider, today announced that Zwilling J.A. Henckels has selected IBS Sales & Operations Planning (IBS S&OP) software and IBS Analytics powered by QlikView to manage its complex supply chain.

IBS is the trusted industry leader of ERP and WMS distribution software, preferred for consistently improving operational efficiencies and business performance for mid-market companies challenged by the complexities of managing distribution.

IBS’ partnership with Qlik, a leader in user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), adds robust BI capabilities.  IBS Analytics powered by QlikView is integrated into the IBS software suite of products, serving customers in key verticals like pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, automotive aftermarkets, 3PL and wholesale distribution.

“IBS S&OP provides one integrated view, monitors key supply chain metrics, and strikes a balance between customer service and inventory levels,” said Tim Conroy, General Manager of the Americas, IBS.  “The IBS S&OP platform and IBS Analytics powered by QlikView will help Zwilling J.A. Henckels work from a common business plan and connect key business data, which drive competitive advantage.”

Zwilling J.A. Henckels is a global knife manufacturer based in New York. With 50 branded stores in 100 countries, it is one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of kitchen knives, scissors, cookware and flatware.

“Our global presence adds complexity to the supply chain, but our implementation of IBS S&OP and business intelligence tools will complement our current use of IBS Enterprise,” said John Henkel, CFO at Zwilling J.A. Henckels.  “Our brand is built upon stellar products delivered in a timely fashion to customers around the world.  IBS software will help us streamline inventory, manage stockroom levels and order cycles, and improve our overall supply chain.”

IBS applications deliver benefits such as lower IT cost through fixed monthly fees, reduced business risk, faster time to value and greater flexibility – combined with the advanced functionality of the IBS industry-leading ERP and Supply Chain solutions.
