Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Wright Tool Company of Barberton, Ohio, has selected the next-generation Epicor ERP solution to increase business efficiency and streamline processes for overall performance.

Founded in 1927, Wright Tool Company manufactures a complete line of more than 4,000 professional-grade hand tools for the industrial, contractor and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) markets, and has been actively involved in leading industry organizations Industrial Supply Association (ISA) and Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) for nearly 20 years. Wright-manufactured products are U.S.-made and carry lifetime guarantees against defects in workmanship.

The decision to choose the Epicor ERP solution was driven by the ease-of-use functionality and the ability to receive real-time information to make better business decisions, according to Wayne Snyder, director of engineering and quality control at Wright Tool Company.

“The Epicor team’s detailed presentation delivered an integrated solution that we believe will streamline processes and enhance our business productivity,” said Snyder. “The Epicor ERP solution provides features to fit our needs and, more importantly, we’re looking forward to customer relationship management (CRM) that will allow us to receive the most up-to-date information on orders, inventories and other vital tools to deliver beyond our customers’ expectations.”

“We’re delighted to provide Wright Tool Company with an all-encompassing enterprise solution that will support business operations on a full range of supply chain management capabilities within a single integrated platform,” said Malcolm Fox, director, product marketing for Epicor. “Epicor provides the ability to access the right information from an accurate source, empowering our customers to make the most informed decisions possible.”

For over 80 years, Wright Tool Company has put its customers on the forefront of innovative product offerings for a range of industries including Refinery, Power Generation, Distribution & Transmission, Mining and Wind Turbines. As part of its continued commitment to excellent performance and support of these industries, Wright Tool is a vendor and member of ISA and STAFDA. STAFDA is a not-for-profit educational trade association comprising distributors, manufacturers, and rep agents of light construction, industrial and related products. ISA is the top trade association for the maintenance, repair, operations and production (MROP) supply channel, committed to bringing channel partners together and fostering an environment that allows for a free flow of communication to better understand the needs of the manufacturer, distributor, industrial manufacturers representative and service provider.

Withboth manufacturing and distribution members engaged to improve the entire industrial supply chain, ISA and STAFDA include hundreds of current Epicor customers.  In fact, approximately 60 percent of ISA members are already using Epicor distribution software solutions, as are nearly 200 STAFDA members. “The recent partnership with Wright Tool is a good example of the total, end-to-end supply chain solution that Epicor now offers for both manufacturing and distribution members of ISA and STAFDA. As a manufacturer using our ERP solution, Wright Tool can take advantage of better connectivity, communication and interoperability with its many distribution customers who are also using Epicor applications. Both sides win,” said Kevin Roach, executive vice president and general manager, ERP Americas for Epicor.
