A not-for-profit Catholic healthcare system and housing organization sponsored by the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters of Wheaton, Ill., Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare operates more than 100 health and shelter service organizations in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. The system has 14 hospital sites, three long-term care facilities, and more than 70 clinics, employing 17329 associates including 508 employed physicians. Juggling multiple HR and financials systems, Wheaton turned to Infor to consolidate applications across multiple states for better, faster reporting, and to reduce bottom line expenses associated with maintaining a large support architecture. Now, the organization is able to increase communication between HR systems and create an inequitable enforcement of policies across multi-state facilities with fewer staff hours needed to maintain the systems. In addition, multiple financial statements were rolled up into one statement on one application, reducing time spent manually consolidating information, which can, therefore, reduce full-time equivalents (FTE).
