UNIT4, the global cloud-focused business software provider for fast-changing organizations, today announced a significant agreement between the New Zealand Post Group and distributor, Agresso Pty, to provide its flagship ERP software suite, Agresso Business World, as an integral component of New Zealand Post Group’s major business process transformation program.
For the last 170 years New Zealand Post has met the diverse communication needs of New Zealanders, taking its place as one of the country’s most established and respected national service providers. From its core mail business through to banking and digital solutions, the New Zealand Post Group is an enterprising and continually evolving organization.
Responding to and anticipating local and global shifts in customer needs, New Zealand Post is embarking on an ambitious transitional journey toward a modernized and more service focused business model with the customer at its heart. To achieve this transformation, New Zealand Post requires a dynamic yet centralized financial management information solution (FMIS). The company will simplify and centralize business processes by replacing many aging and non-integrated legacy systems with a single core application to produce a ‘single source of truth’ for all financial data across the Group.
By implementing Agresso, New Zealand Post seeks to minimize manual intervention by simplifying and automating key business processes, accessing Group-wide reporting tools, enabling flexible user interfaces for mobile devices and importantly creating a single “source of truth” – keeping key financial data in one place by integrating all allied finance systems data into Agresso.
To achieve these goals New Zealand Post will be leveraging Agresso’s agile finance, procurement management, wholesale and distribution, reporting, business process automation and project costing and billing modules. To this end UNIT4 is working with New Zealand Post as part of a Concept Phase Agreement, where business analysis, process reengineering and solution design is being undertaken in preparation for the implementation phase to follow later this year.
